Jenny is a personal AI agent that lives on your Android phone. It works like a smart assistant but keeps everything on your device. You own your data. You choose the AI model.
Jenny can:
Visit the releases page to download the latest APK file.
You need to allow installation from unknown sources. The exact steps depend on your Android version:
Tap the Jenny icon on your home screen or app drawer. You will see a welcome screen.
You have two options:
Option A: Bring your own API key (recommended for beginners)
Option B: Run a local model (fully offline)
jenny_models folder on your phoneType your first message. Jenny remembers everything you say. You can ask questions, set reminders, or tell it to do tasks.
Jenny remembers everything. It stores conversations and learns from them. You never lose context. You can ask “What did we talk about last week?” and get an answer.
You can tell Jenny to check something every day. For example:
Jenny runs these tasks automatically. You do not need to open the app.
Jenny can write small programs called “apps” from your requests. Say “Make a timer app that counts down from 10 minutes” and Jenny creates it. These apps live on your phone and work offline.
Jenny can add a widget or launcher to your home screen. This gives you quick access to common tasks. You can tap the launcher to ask a question or start a task without opening the main app.
Your data stays on your phone. Jenny does not send data to any server unless you use an API key. With a local model, everything stays offline. No accounts, no tracking, no cloud storage.
Open the settings menu from the top-right corner.
Make sure you have enough free space. Try uninstalling the old version first. If you see “App not installed” error, your Android version might be too old.
Check that you copied the key correctly. Keys have no spaces at the start or end. Make sure you have credits on your API account.
Larger models need more RAM. Try a smaller model. Close other apps to free memory. Your phone might get warm during use.
Clear the app cache in Settings > Apps > Jenny > Storage > Clear Cache. If that does not work, uninstall and reinstall.
Make sure Jenny has permission to run in the background. Go to Settings > Apps > Jenny > Battery > toggle “Allow background activity”. Also check that your phone does not have aggressive battery optimization.
